HOW ITS MADE:   For this project, we start with full grain vegetable tanned cowhide of 2 different weights (thickness)  The main part of the watch band is made from 5/7 ounce leather.  We believe this is an ideal weight for a sensitive area like the wrist.  This thickness will provide many years of service without remaining "stiff" like the heavy 9/10 ounce belt scrap watch bands that others are making.  Of course, the full grain leather we use to make the tabs that attach your watch face to the strap need to be much thinner.  We use 2/3 ounce leather for this.  Because the leather we use is full grain, the integrity (strength) of the cowhide remains intact.  Learn more by reading about
